Information we collect

Contact form. When you contact us through the website we collect your name, email address, phone number, your message, and whether you chose to join our email list.

Membership application. Our application is a Google Form. The information you enter there is collected by Google on our behalf and shared with us.

Payments. Dues and other payments are processed by Stripe through the payment forms and billing portal on our payments page. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we do not receive or store full card numbers. Stripe shares with us the information needed to record your payment, such as your name, email address, and what you paid for.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability.

How we use your information

• To send updates and promotions if you joined our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and the club, and only so they can provide that service:

• Vercel, which hosts this website.
• Our email delivery service, which sends contact form messages to our staff.
• Google, which provides Google Analytics, Google Forms, and YouTube.
• Stripe, which processes payments.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

Cookies and third-party services

• Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Stripe may set cookies on our payments page to process payments and prevent fraud. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• YouTube videos on this site use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you press play.
• Google reCAPTCHA may be used on our contact form to block spam. It collects information about your device and browser and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as answering your message or managing your membership, or as long as the law requires. Payment records are kept as required for accounting and tax purposes. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our Analytics account.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted, or remove you from our email list, by emailing info@ravenswoodgc.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to other websites

This site links to websites we do not operate, such as our sister clubs and social media. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
